Beauties,
Moons ago, soon after we first moved into Thornbury Township, I met the loveliest woman — and if you’re reading this, you know who you are. We got to talking all things Thanksgiving — including homemade cranberry sauce. It was such a joy to meet someone else who cherished those homemade traditions. That little conversation stayed with me, and every year when I make this sauce, I think of the beauty of shared traditions and the way food connects us.
Don’t let the word bourbon scare you—the alcohol cooks off, leaving behind warm flavors of vanilla, caramel, and toasted oak.
This cranberry sauce is wonderfully simple, perfect for when you want something special without the stress. And I promise… once you make it, it will absolutely earn a place on your Thanksgiving table from now on!
Bursting with cranberries, blueberries, raspberries, and those cozy bourbon notes, this delicious sauce is a reminder that homemade doesn’t need to be perfect to be completely mouthwatering.
It’s also the first item my husband requests each year (even though I’ve never once forgotten to make it!). Make it the day before—your home will smell incredible, and the flavors deepen overnight.
Wishing you a super thankful day with everyone you celebrate with — and mangiare! Marinella💜
P.S. I call this an “un-recipe” because I grew up with my Nonna and Mom cooking with whatever we had in the pantry or garden.
And just like this sauce, every piece of Marinella Jewelry is made with love, perfectly imperfect, and meant to bring a little sparkle to your day — whether it’s a gift for someone special or a treat for yourself. 💜
